New Version for Option Samurai! Q2 2024 🎈

Wow, we are already at the end of June and have finished the first half of 2024—how time flies! It’s time for our new Q2 2024 version!

Q2 2024 Samurai Version

We are constantly working on improving our software and releasing new versions (as we’ve been doing since 2020). So, as our clients, you know that Samurai is continually improving so you can sharpen your edge in the market.

In this version:

  • Made improvements to the all scans page
  • Improved our Excel and Google sheet integration
  • Added backtests and predefined scans to find trades according to them
  • Finished the credit card processor migration
  • Bug fixes and improvements

Made improvements to the all scans page

We’ve continued to improve our scanner. This time, we focused on the “all scans” page, which allows you to favorite your scans, naming them, and more. This will improve the quality of life when using the scanner regularly as part of your investment process.

New All Scans page

Improved our Excel and Google sheet integration

We’ve improved our Excel and Google integration, allowing you to create custom tools and analyses using our data. We’ve also added 3 templates around Reverse DCF models that enable you to analyze stocks independently. You can get ideas for integrating options or valuation in your process and Excel.

Excel Improvements

Added backtests and predefined scans to find trades according to them

We’ve started a series where we backtest various indicators in the market and see how we can use them in our trading to increase our edge. What is unique about this series is that each article has: (1) Explanation about the edge. (2) A predefined scan to find trades according to that edge and (3) the backtest itself – so you can incorporate it in your process or check it yourself.

We highly recommend you check these articles out. Here are the links for the first 2 ‘episodes’: (1) Trading large gaps and (2) Bollinger Bands

Finished the credit card processor migration

Over the last two months, we’ve changed a payment processor and migrated all our clients from our old payment processor to the new one. This move will allow us to give better service and scale. One of the noticeable new features we deployed will allow our international clients to pay in their local currency (such as EUR, CAD, JPY, AUD, etc.), and more to come.

Bug fixes and improvements

We’ve continued to improve the platform and squash bugs. We’ve enhanced components in our Excel integration, servers, and backend and simplified our frontend in anticipation of new features.

The new version is live, so log in and check it out!
